Step 4: What happens in your weekly meetings?

You and your coach will meet every week to make sure everyone’s on the same page. You’ll follow the same agenda every time to keep your work front of mind in a timely manner—and so you can see your progress.

Your coach will help you break your goals into manageable chunks. Then, you’ll work on those actionable steps together. Your weekly productivity process will have five phases:

  • Breaking the goal into sprints
  • Breaking sprints into bite-sized tasks of 1-3 hours of work
  • Scheduling those tasks on a calendar and agreeing on which will be coached. You’ll decide when and how the coach will contact you, whether it’s via text, phone, or video call.
  • The coach checks in at the agreed-upon times and makes sure the work is getting done.
  • The coach then emails a weekly progress report to you and your chosen allies. These emails should take less than a minute to review, but they can give you a clearer picture of your progress and struggles throughout the week.
