Hi all! I am the “Connection Captain of Slothzero.” Nothing pleases me as much as getting to know someone, their story, and coming up with ways to improve our lives together. I am working to bring families and individuals who need organization, motivation and encouragement, together with Slothzero and each other, so they can feel better about themselves and what they do.
I came to this company with a background in ecommerce marketing and merchandising (selling products online in a strategic and influential way), personal experience in addiction recovery and a certification in teaching yoga and meditation. I started my career with Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue and made the move to startup companies such as Jonathan Adler and Strivectin. Using a combination of hard business skills plus soft people knowledge, and voila, a Chief Community Officer was born.
Besides being professionally drawn to Slothzero, I feel personally connected to this organization, because I have people in my life who struggle with ADHD and with getting things done (that includes me and pretty much everyone I know). My own procrastination triggers include a mixture of perfectionism, the need for approval, and most of all, wavering self confidence. I’ve found that what works is committing to my to do list (despite the negative self talk), getting busy during my productivity golden hour (early morning), doing tasks with an “accountabilabuddy” (thank you South Park), and celebrating small wins/accomplishments.
When I’m not Slothzeroing, I spend my time hiking local trails, meeting with friends, meditating and reading novels and literature. I’ve realized it’s never too late to cultivate interests in our short time on the planet. With that in mind I’ve started playing the guitar and gardening.
I love understanding what motivates myself and others and inspiring changes in thoughts and attitudes towards productivity. I can’t wait to get to know you and help you get to zero.
Our hiring philosophy is simple: choose "people people" who love helping others reach their goals, are adept at using high-tech productivity software to help clients, and have a zeal for collaboration and teamwork. Plus, we have a soft spot for people who have struggled with ADHD, executive functioning, and procrastination themselves. It makes us better, more empathic, coaches.
